This portrait of Aaron was commissioned as a gift for his Grandmother. The portrait is 14″ x 14″ and is Pastel on Watercolor Paper.
This was a smaller portrait for Kelly Miller, Buffalo, Niagara Falls based portrait artist. Her average portrait usually averages 40″ x 40″.
But the patron of the portrait of Aaron specifically requested a smaller portrait because of the problem of no wall space. That’s right, Aaron’s Grandmother lives in an old victorian home, which is, as they say, all windows and no walls.
Because of the restrictions, this portrait had to be carefully constructed. Once a maximum overall, matting and framing included, size of the portrait was determined, it became necessary for the portrait to be no bigger than 14″ x 14″, and that is the actual size of the portrait.
